HANNI FAMILY: Fourth of July Camp out

So usually my family goes camping on the Fourth of July and then we come home get cleaned up and do a small little firework show. Well my mom and grandma decided they really didn't wanna go somewhere where there were lots of people and all that good stuff, so instead they decided to do a camp out in my mom and step dads back yard and we weren't aloud to go in the house or anything like that. We all thought that was the dumbest idea ever!! However, we were all willing to try something new. So my mom and grandma put together all these activities for the kids bought a new swimming pool lots and lots of goodies and way good food some extra stuff that would have normally gone to gas, Oh yeah and they even purchased a porter potty for us to use. Everyone showed up Friday night around six, dinner time, my mom always makes Taco Soup so that is what we at on Friday. Then the kids did some decorating of shirts and some other things my mom borrowed a movie projector and put up a big sheet and we all ate popcorn and watched a movie while the men played texas hold em. Then we all woke up Saturday and ate breakfast and did our activities and ate some more and then did dinner and watched fire works and Sunday we ate breakfast cleaned up and went home. We all had a great time it was more fun then I gave credit for. Thank goodness Derek and I were able to go home and sleep while everyone else slept in tents I think my back would have killed me. Every one was such good sports and had a great time. Everyone, Except me, used the porter potty and stayed outta the house.

J packed the cats and DC everywhere all weekend untill the other kitten fresca was like clinging to her coat she didn't like that very much and now doesn't want to hold the kitty's. It's probably a good thing though cause they kept getting choked. As you can tell.

Here are the kids making popcorn over the fire. They thought this was a great idea. Especially the two older boy Trey and Trev they are at that age where all they wanna do is play with fire. Oh boy!!

Here is J with her great great grandma Jones. My great grandmother and my moms grandma. We don't have any pics of them so I figured I get a snap shot. That is five generations, Besides that my grandpa gale (my mom's dad) is no longer with us.

All the kids got put on teams for relays. So the night before they decorated shirts with their team names on them and all that fun stuff. Since Lee and J are to little to participate they got their own team name and little bunny visors for the day.. How cute.

Here is Derek and J with a sparkler, J didn't care really for the fireworks. When a loud one would go off she would nuzzle close to her daddy. It was super cute.
